About Shams and Yunus Wesley
Welcome
to our website! We are so glad that you are interested
in Sufi healing and how it can benefit you. Please don't
hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can
do to serve you.
A little background on us: we met and married in 2002 and have been living happily together ever since. We don't have any children yet, but we hope to start a family within the next year or two. We are both from the northeast (Shams is from Philadelphia, PA and Yunus is from Haddonfield, NJ) and have lived in Georgia for about 5 years.

Shams Wesley,
M.Ac., L.Ac.
Aspiring Sufi, Muqaddam
Masters in Acupuncture,
Oriental Medical Doctor
Professionally, I am a licensed healer practicing acupuncture, Chinese
herbal medicine, shiatsu
massage and energy work in Decatur,
Georgia, and my goal is make every healing session a form of worship. The healing people receive in my office comes only by the permission of Allah; God is the one true Healer, and I am a humble witness to this truth.
Spiritually, I aspire to remember Allah with every breath, every heartbeat. He is my love and I pray to always be His Love and in His Hand. I love exploring the sacred mysteries of life and the universe,
and this is what drew me to Sufism. I became a student
of Sidi
Muhammad in 2001, and I thank God
every day for leading me to this path. For 4 years I studied Sidi's teachings intensively in Pope Valley, CA, while living and working at a retreat center dedicated to his teachings. Then, so that my husband could earn his doctorate in religion, we moved to Georgia and have been living here happily for the last 5 years.
In 1996 my journey as a healer began, and since that time I have received over 5,500 hours of training in the healing arts including a master's degree in acupuncture. Most significant in my development as a healer was the Spiritual and Medical healing program at the University of Spiritual Healing and Sufism. In 2003, I graduated from their 3-year certification program, later that year I completed the Teacher Internship program, and I served as an assistant teacher for one year. Sidi Muhammad teaches at the school at least once a year, insha'allah, and his heart and spirit are the bedrock upon which the University is founded.
My name, Shams (rhymes with Brahms), is unusual
here in America. It literally means "the sun."
When Sidi gave
me this name he said, "Shams is the one who gives
the healing and the love to all the people." This
statement provides inspiration and healing for me
in so many ways; it is my touchstone, and every day
I do my best to live up to it.
Worship is a form of expressing love, and I pray that the Sufi events
we host and my healing practice in Atlanta truly benefits
those in need. If you feel drawn to experience my work call me at 404-863-9900 or email me at shams@sufihealing.org.
Peace be with you.
May the peace and mercy of God be with you.
